Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Solfeggio in C minor, best known today as the Solfeggietto, appeared in 1770 in Musikalisches Vielerley, a Hamburg collection Bach edited himself. Marked Prestissimo, it is a single line of semiquavers passed between the hands, with detached quarter-note chords beneath it in the middle, and it ends on a high C. This edition follows the 1770 print.
