Ferdinand Beyer's Study in G major, No. 39 of his Vorschule im Klavierspiel, Op. 101, the beginner's method first printed by Schott in 1850. Sixteen bars in common time, with both hands in the treble clef: a quiet melody in half notes over a walking quarter-note line. This edition follows the 1850 Schott print and keeps its fingering.
