Brahms's own two-hand version of the fifth of his Hungarian Dances, WoO 1, in F-sharp minor. An Allegro in 2/4 with a fiery tune over off-beat chords, and a contrasting Vivace in F-sharp major with sudden slowings, before the opening returns. This edition follows Mandyczewski's Breitkopf & Härtel collected edition and keeps its fingering.
