The Storm (L'orage), No. 13 of Burgmüller's 18 Études de genre, Op. 109. An Allegro in D minor, marked pp agitato, whose right hand runs in sixteenth notes through two repeated strains, followed by a calmer section in D major marked Tempo I, ma un poco più lento, and a close that fades to pianissimo. This edition follows John A. Preston's 1902 edition for B. F. Wood, with his fingering and pedal marks.
