Schubert's Piano Sonata in A minor, D. 845, published in Vienna in 1826 as Op. 42 and dedicated to Archduke Rudolph: a Moderato, an Andante poco moto with five variations, a Scherzo with a slower Trio, and a closing Rondo. The edition follows the Breitkopf & Härtel collected edition of 1888.
