The third of Edward MacDowell's Woodland Sketches, Op. 51, a short piece in A-flat major marked Somewhat quaintly; not too sentimentally. Over 30 bars in common time a quiet tune in the right hand moves above inner voices and soft chords, between ppp and mf, slowing slightly twice. This edition follows Arthur P. Schmidt's issue from P. L. Jung's plates of 1896.
