Twelve Variations on “Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman”K.265

Mozart's twelve variations on the French song Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman, the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, K. 265, written in Vienna in the early 1780s. The C-major theme returns in ever new figures, with a C-minor Variation VIII, an Adagio XI and a closing Allegro in 3/4. This edition follows Mozart's autograph and, for the variations it lacks, Porro's early Paris print.
