Old French SongOp. 39 No. 16

The Old French Song, No. 16 of Tchaikovsky's Album for the Young, Op. 39, the 24 short pieces he wrote for children in 1878. In G minor and 2/4, a plain singing melody moves over a held bass G and soft inner notes in the left hand. This edition follows Adolf Ruthardt's Schirmer edition of 1904, compared with Jurgenson's print.
