A short musette in D major from the notebook Johann Sebastian Bach began for Anna Magdalena Bach in 1725; its composer is unknown. As a musette imitates the bagpipe, the left hand keeps a drone that leaps between octaves while the right hand plays a bright two-beat tune. The middle section moves to A major, and the opening returns Da Capo. This edition follows the Bach-Gesellschaft edition of 1894.
