A short minuet by Henry Purcell, printed in 1689 in the second part of Playford's Musick's Hand-maid, a book of lessons for virginals or harpsichord whose preface says Purcell revised and corrected it. In 3/4 and A minor, the right-hand tune moves over held left-hand chords whose bass falls A–G–F–E in the first strain; the second strain adds trills and mordents and stops on an E major chord, and the print asks for the first strain again to end. This edition follows the 1689 print.
