I played in time, but Virtu says I was late
Every speaker and pair of headphones adds its own delay before you hear the click. Measure it once with Latency calibration and timing judgments allow for it.
Virtu judges your timing against the metronome click. If the click reaches your ears late, you play along with a late click and the judgment says you were behind.
How to fix it
- Run Preferences › Input › Latency calibration with the speakers or headphones you practise with.
- Calibrate again whenever you switch to other speakers or headphones.
- Bluetooth headphones add a long delay that can change from moment to moment. Wired headphones or the device’s speaker keep judgments steadier.
