Line up timing judgments with latency calibration
Tap along with the metronome, and Virtu allows for how late sound reaches you on this device when it judges your timing.
Use the speakers or headphones you practise with
The delay depends on what plays the sound, so measure it the way you practise.
Open Preferences › Input › Latency calibration and choose Calibrate
Keep the piano connected, finish practising and turn off the metronome, then choose Start.
Press a key on every click
The metronome clicks 16 times; the first 4 are a count-in. When the measurement is done, choose Done.
The result is saved on this device and used in timing judgments right away. Measure again after you switch speakers or headphones.
