Prelude in G-sharp minorOp. 32 No. 12
Sergei Rachmaninoff
Difficulty 8
Score
The slow movement and finale of Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Sonata in its original 1913 version, played without a break. A Lento in E minor, with a free cadenza, leads straight into the Allegro molto finale in B-flat major, which ends Presto. This edition follows the first Gutheil print of 1914, with its fingering and hand indications.
