Ways to get more out of Virtu.
- TipPlay Virtu’s sound through a virtual instrumentSet Output device to MIDI and pick an instrument under MIDI output, and the music Virtu plays comes out in that instrument’s sound.
- TipLine up timing judgments with latency calibrationTap along with the metronome, and Virtu allows for how late sound reaches you on this device when it judges your timing.
- TipPlusHear your playing through Virtu’s soundTurn on MIDI playthrough and what you play sounds through the output you chose. If that output is MIDI, your notes go to the selected MIDI device.
- TipLet adaptive practice set the paceWith Adaptive practice on, each card starts at the speed and passage that suit it. Below the bar you retry more slowly, and a pass takes you back to the original speed.
- TipSee your playing on the score as you playTurn on Real-time analysis in Visual Insight and the score marks your timing and notes while you play.
- TipControl practice from your keyboardWith Play shortcuts, you can retry a passage or move on without taking your hands off the keys.
- TipPlusRaise the tempo a little after each passTurn on Raise the tempo after a pass in Tempo ramp, and each pass makes the next try a little faster.
