The finale of Bach's Sonata in D major, BWV 963, headed 'Thema all'Imitatio Gallina Cucca', a theme in imitation of a hen and a cuckoo. In 6/8, a repeated-note motif begins in the right hand alone and is taken up in imitation; the left hand enters only in bar 14. This edition follows the copy in Johann Peter Kellner's manuscript collection.
