Elfin DanceOp. 12 No. 4

Alfedans (Elfin Dance), the fourth of the eight pieces in Grieg's first book of Lyric Pieces, Op. 12, published in Copenhagen in 1867. Marked Molto Allegro e sempre staccato, in E minor and 3/4, it runs in light staccato chords, mostly pp, with short fz accents; a middle section sets a rising line over left-hand chords, and the opening returns before the close in ppp. This edition follows the Peters edition with Adolf Ruthardt's fingering.
