ArabesqueOp. 100 No. 2
Friedrich Burgmüller
Score
The first of Friedrich Burgmüller's 25 Études faciles et progressives, Op. 100, an Allegro moderato in C major in common time, marked p dolce. Slurred four-note eighth-note figures in the right hand fall over held left-hand chords. The first eight bars repeat; in the next section, also repeated, with two endings, the left hand takes up the eighths. The piece closes pp. This edition follows the Paris edition of Benoît aîné (c. 1851), which credits Burgmüller with the music and fingering.
