Friedrich Burgmüller

  • Difficulty 5
  • D minor
  • 1 min
  • 72 measures

The twentieth of Friedrich Burgmüller's 25 Études faciles et progressives, Op. 100, an Allegro vivo tarantella in D minor in 6/8. It opens forte with both hands running in octaves, then sets a quiet right-hand melody over left-hand chords. A middle section in D major, marked p, follows; the D minor music returns, slows with dim. e poco riten., and ends forte, a tempo, on D minor chords. This edition follows Louis Oesterle's Schirmer edition, New York, 1903, with his fingering.
