Stick Dance (Bot-tánc, Jocul cu bâtă), first of Bartók's Romanian Folk Dances, Sz. 56, on a tune from Mezőszabad in Maros-Torda. An Allegro moderato in 2/4 that closes forte with a poco allargando. The set is dedicated to Professor Ioan Bușiția. This edition follows Universal-Edition's first print of 1918, with its fingering and pedal marks.
