An Important EventScenes from Childhood · Op. 15 · VI

The sixth of the thirteen pieces in Schumann's Kinderszenen, Op. 15, composed in 1838 and published in 1839. A loud, ceremonious piece in A major built on heavy accented chords in both hands; a fortissimo middle section over striding left-hand octaves is repeated, and the opening returns. This edition follows the Breitkopf & Härtel first edition.
