Soldiers' March, the second of the 43 pieces in Schumann's Album for the Young, Op. 68, written in 1848 for his children. Marked Munter und straff (lively and taut), it marches in G major and 2/4 time in crisp dotted chords, and its second half is repeated. This edition follows Clara Schumann's 1887 collected edition.
