The third of Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, published in 1839. Marked Vivace, the left hand runs lightly in sixteenth notes almost throughout beneath short right-hand phrases; near the end the right hand joins the run, climbing an octave higher, and the piece closes on arpeggiated G-major chords. This edition follows Catelin's Paris first edition of 1839.
