Prelude in E minorOp. 28, No. 4

Frédéric Chopin

  • Difficulty 5
  • E minor
  • 2 min
  • 26 measures

The fourth of Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, published in 1839. Over slowly shifting left-hand chords, a mournful melody hovers around a few notes, rises once to a forte climax and sinks to a hushed close. Edited from Theodor Kullak's 1882 teaching edition, with its fingering, and compared with the first editions and Chopin's manuscript.
