The seventh of Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, published in 1839. Marked Andantino and p dolce, its sixteen bars of chords repeat one gentle dotted figure in mazurka-like phrases of two bars; the second half swells to a wide chord at mf before falling back to p. Edited from Theodor Kullak's 1882 teaching edition, without its fingering, and compared with the first editions.
