LullabyOp. 57

Frédéric Chopin

  • Difficulty 8
  • D-flat major
  • 5 min
  • 70 measures

Chopin's Berceuse in D-flat major, Op. 57, published in 1845 and dedicated to Élise Gavard. Over a one-bar rocking figure that the left hand repeats almost to the end, the right hand turns a simple melody into a chain of ever more ornate variations. This edition follows the first French edition, published in Paris by Meissonnier.
