Frédéric Chopin

The second movement of Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor, composed in 1844 and published in 1845. The Scherzo in E-flat major, marked Molto vivace, races across the keyboard in light eighth-note figures; its middle section in B major sings quietly and legato over long held bass notes before the opening returns. This edition follows the Breitkopf & Härtel collected edition of 1878, compared with Chopin's autograph printer's copy.
