The sixth variation of Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988, a canon at the second marked for one manual. Two upper parts play the same line one bar apart, the second a step higher, over a bass in 3/8, in two halves, each repeated with first and second endings. This edition follows the first print, published in Nuremberg by Balthasar Schmid in 1741 or 1742.
