The second of Bach's fifteen two-part Inventions, written out fair in 1723, and a canon. A long, trilled C minor melody in the right hand is followed two bars later, an octave lower, by the left hand; halfway through, the left hand takes the lead and the right hand follows, before both close together in C minor. Edited from the Bach-Gesellschaft edition of 1853.
