Mazurka in C majorOp. 24 No. 2

Chopin's Mazurka in C major, Op. 24 No. 2, from a set of four first published in 1835. Marked Allegro non troppo, it opens with quiet, legato chords in both hands before a lively melody with grace notes and trills enters above them. A middle section in D-flat major, marked dolce, follows; then the opening music returns and fades in a long diminuendo to its closing chords. This edition follows Rafael Joseffy's 1915 Schirmer edition, with his fingering.
